God and the Subconscious: Two Paths to the Same Inner Power
No one has ever truly witnessed the existence of God. As science has advanced, many natural phenomena once attributed to God—such as lightning, disease, and even the creation of the universe now have scientific explanations. Yet, the majority of people continue to believe in God. Why is that?
Let’s take a moment to explore this in connection with the subconscious mind. Books like The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, The Secret, and The Power of Positive Thinking emphasize how powerful our subconscious mind truly is. They suggest that when we focus our willpower and vividly imagine having achieved our desires, our subconscious mind drives us to take the actions necessary to make those dreams a reality.
In my opinion, we can draw a parallel between the subconscious mind and God. God is often perceived as the entity with whom we can share anything, and ask for anything, without hesitation. When people pray or ask for something with strong intent at temples or other places of worship, the regular act of asking and believing in God’s assistance can actually activate the power of their subconscious mind, helping them achieve their goals.
However, other rituals such as offering donations, self-punishment, or extreme practices seem unnecessary. The real power lies in the act of asking and believing with full intent.
In The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, numerous real-life examples demonstrate this power, from curing cancer and other diseases to even curing blindness. It also showcases how we can achieve our goals by harnessing these powerful phenomena within us.
Ultimately, whether viewed through the lens of spirituality or psychology, the connection between belief—whether in God or the subconscious—and personal achievement is undeniable. This interplay suggests that our intentions and beliefs can shape our reality, making the act of asking, whether through prayer or positive visualization a powerful catalyst for change.
