Life Is Short, So I Choose Happiness

Life is short, and I genuinely feel that life is all about being happy. The basis of life is to be happy, and everything else just revolves around that. We are told to eat healthy food, exercise regularly, and stay fit. But why? It’s not just about being fit for the sake of it. We need to stay fit for longevity. If we are healthy, we can enjoy more, do more things, experience newer things, and eventually be happier. Apart from health, there’s money. And let’s be honest, money is a necessity in life. You can’t survive without money. If you don’t have enough money, it’s not impossible to be happy, but it definitely becomes difficult. Money allows us to experience new things, enjoy life more freely, and reduce unnecessary stress. I also believe that we should sometimes eat ‘just tasty’ food (in limit). Because that’s also another kind of happiness. Life shouldn’t feel like constant restriction. Failures are inevitable. They’re meant to push you towards greater success, not break you. So t...

Tug of validation

Tug of validation Listen to the audio first(Not mandatory though) Rafi sahab's voice echoes, "he banane sanvarne kaa jab hi mazaa, koi dekhne vaala ashiq to ho". Rafi sahab once said this line with such ease and charm, but if you listen closely, it’s more than romance. It reflects something that all of us feel deep down: The joy of doing something often depends on someone watching, noticing, and appreciating. That line, from the song “Badan Pe Sitare Lapete Hue,” beautifully captures what we call validation. Validation is the feeling of being seen, heard, or understood. It’s when someone says, “Yes, I get you. You’re right to feel this way.” It can come from others (external validation) or from within (self-validation). And whether we admit it or not, most of us constantly look for it. Even me. Even this blog. Somewhere deep down, I’m writing this for validation too. To be understood. To be felt. To be seen. Let’s be honest: validation feels good. It motivates us. It make...

Religion in Indian Politics

Image
Newborns arrive as pure souls, unaware of the divisions we’ve created. I think religious disputes have been the most catastrophic thing for India. Here are some of those events: In the mid-19 th century, Britishers started using a divide and rule policy to rule India. In 1947 a new country (Pakistan) was created on the basis of religion. The anti-Sikh riots, also known as the 1984 Sikh massacre, resulted in the killing of thousands of Sikhs and the assassination of Prime Minister Indra Gandhi by her Sikh bodyguards. In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, so many Kashmiri pandits were brutally murdered. In 2002 there were Gujrat riots which primarily targeted the Muslim minority, the immediate trigger was a train fire in which Hindu pilgrims died. The riots had spread like wildfire and resulted in the death of over 1,000 people. There are n number of Hindu–Muslim riots. ( I think it’s a known fact that most of the BJP leaders are Hindu-oriented. One of them is Yogi Adityanath...

Reality of Wrestler’s Protest

President of wrestling federation of India Brij bhushan Sharan Singh, who is also Bjp's M.P in U.P, has recently been accused of sexual harassment and molestation by 7 female wrestlers (including 1 minor). A protest led by Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik started in April 2023. On 28 th April Supreme Court ordered to register an FIR against Brij bhushan Sharan Singh. Wrestlers said that they won’t stop protesting until they get full justice. Many people ask, “If it all happened years ago, why are they protesting now? “ And many say that they are just doing it so that they don’t have to give trials. Now let me remind you all of ‘Me-too’ moment, how it suddenly started in U.S.A and got spread in whole world. Now some people think that complaining about sexual harassment is so easy, but it’s not. In reality, there is career risk, also there are social stigmas, long court trials and some family says, “Keep quiet and ignore it”, some says, “What about our family reputa...

God and the Subconscious: Two Paths to the Same Inner Power

No one has ever truly witnessed the existence of God. As science has advanced, many natural phenomena once attributed to God—such as lightning, disease, and even the creation of the universe now have scientific explanations. Yet, the majority of people continue to believe in God. Why is that? Let’s take a moment to explore this in connection with the subconscious mind. Books like The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, The Secret, and The Power of Positive Thinking emphasize how powerful our subconscious mind truly is. They suggest that when we focus our willpower and vividly imagine having achieved our desires, our subconscious mind drives us to take the actions necessary to make those dreams a reality. In my opinion, we can draw a parallel between the subconscious mind and God. God is often perceived as the entity with whom we can share anything, and ask for anything, without hesitation. When people pray or ask for something with strong intent at temples or other places of worship, the ...

Why choose the tough path

Why choose the tough path !!        The path of least resistance often leads to the destination of mediocrity, while the tough path,                                        though challenging, leads to the summit of excellence. If you are a JEE (or any other competitive exam) aspirant in class 11th/12th, your brain is surely ongoing with a heavy workload. You have to work hard 85-100 hrs. per week in any condition. You have to control your instincts, stay at home and study. When you’re motivated studying is easy but when you’re not motivated it’s too tough to live a life in which you pretend to show others that you’re studying but in reality you know in your mind that you’re wasting your time, even when you know that you have to work hard only for a year or two. Well, most students are regularly motivated by their parents/teachers/videos etc. The thing which happens is ...
